Description: Tucson has one of the best college teams, compliments of UA and coach Sean Miller. This Pac-10 team has been conference champions for 8 of the past 13 years, reached the Final Four in the NCAA tournament 4 times, won the NCAA championship in 1997, and was 2001 NCAA runner-up. In 2011, his second year as coach, Miller led his team to the Pac-10 championship and took them to the NCAA Elite Eight. The season runs from November to April and opens with the annual Red/Blue intrasquad scrimmage.Home games are played at McKale Center at the university, which seats more than 14,500. Your best chance for a ticket is to befriend a season ticket holder who can’t get to the game. Individual game tickets may be available at the McKale Center ticket office, online or by phone. As in all urban university towns, parking is at a premium and can be almost as tough to get as a ticket to the game. The closest option is the Cherry Garage immediately west of McKale Center, but those spots are for reserved season ticket holders.
