Description: A testimony to the quality of UA’s baseball program is the fact that plenty of professional baseball players, coaches, and managers have come from the team over the past 20 or so years. With its excellent sports reputation, UA can recruit good players, and with weather conditions conducive to lots of practice opportunities, the result is a good team and fans who come out to watch the games. The Wildcat baseball players were NCAA champs in 1976, 1980, and 1986, and play fine baseball every season, which runs from February to May. Led by Arizona head coach Andy Lopez, the Wildcats appeared in the 2004 College World Series and gained a berth in the Fort Worth Regional in 2010.Ticket prices vary. The playing field is at N. Warren and E. Enke Drives just across from McKale Center, where tickets can be obtained. The closest parking is at the Cherry Garage to McKale Center’s west or another pay parking lot just north of that.
