Luxurious and inviting, it’s in a tranquil setting, thanks to the natural expanse of the river wherever you look. Enhancing the grounds are gardens, fountains, Adirondack chairs, and even a waterfall and koi pond. The innkeepers have many years of experience in the upscale hotel industry, and it shows in their attention to detail. The 12 guest rooms are elegantly noncluttered, in what they call “British campaign” design. But these rooms have modern amenities such as DVD players (there’s a lending library of 200 movie titles), well-appointed minibars, high-speed Internet, and in-room continental breakfast service.
