Description: This is another of those “prime steakhouse and martini bar” joints, a trendy young spot that hawks great cuts o’ cow and martinis, nearly two dozen of ‘em. Now that latter bit is nothing short of a miracle since a martini is gin and vermouth, shaken over ice and served up in one of those cool stemmed glasses. If we want to allow that “martini” extends to vodka and vermouth, who are we to argue with James Bond? And of course he had the wherewithal to call it a vodka martini. They have an entire “Martini Menu” here, with names like “Agave Tini”—that would be tequila—and “Bikini Tini” that easily could pour from a tiki-etched vessel. Hey, if you got ‘em, shake ‘em, I guess. And the food? Rock solid. They have all the usual cuts and fish of a chophouse, raw bar, and the wedge and Caesar. Yet the wedge is “new school,” with avo, sweet corn, and raspberry port vinaigrette along with the bacon, blue, and tomato. The appetizers are very novel, be they date poppers, ahi Napoleon or a shrimp-stuffed poblano. And jerk chicken? The Falls has imaginative wired. It also burns a mean steak. Dinner only.
