Description: We can’t mention one sports bar/restaurant without giving equal space to the other standout in town. Trophy’s predates Seau’s, and it has held its own against the young upstart by sticking to its tried-and-true formula. The range of menu items is predictable—pizzas, pastas, burgers, and sandwiches—but you’ll find some unusual variations here that are quite good, like the pizza with artichoke hearts and bacon. Trophy’s is a kid-friendly place, providing a place mat and crayons at each table setting. This tends to bring out the kid in most adults, too. Wide-screen TVs are in the bar, and smaller ones are sprinkled throughout the rest of the restaurant. The newest Trophy’s is located practically next door to Petco Park downtown. You couldn’t get a better location for a postgame celebration. Trophy’s is open for lunch and dinner daily, and for Sunday brunch during football season.
