Description: For a couples retreat, family reunion, or group getaway, it doesn’t get any better than this secluded guest ranch southwest of Colorado Springs. There are 9 cabins with queen beds and bunk beds (kids will love them!) scattered over the lush acreage of this place, which opened in 1982. Cabins sleep from two to eight people in various configurations. There’s no restaurant on the property, but many are a short drive away. And, besides, each cabin has a full kitchen, so you can bring your own grub and fix it there. Because the cabins are older, they are not wheelchair accessible, but the owner does have a ramp that can be moved from one cabin to another if it is needed. There’s no swimming pool, but there are ponds for fishing, not to mention plenty of trails for hiking. Horseback riding is available nearby, for a fee. Cabins are decorated in Western chic—not too rustic, but not too elegant. It’s a comfy kind of place.
