Description: You might go here for the hearty pub food, but the beer is the real draw. This local brewery started in a historic 1901 Cheyenne Building downtown and opened its doors in 1993. You can see the brewing process in glass-enclosed cubicles and you can sample their signature brews in flights or by the glass. They usually have 8 or 10 available at any given time. Pure Colorado water and the best malted barley and hops from the American Northwest go into their product, which you can drink immediately, unpasteurized and unfiltered at the proper traditional temperatures. Try the ales, porters, Hefeweizens, and an array of seasonal brews. If you want entertainment while you quaff a cold one, the second floor boasts the most elegant billiard hall in Colorado Springs. The Phantom Canyon Billiard Hall opened in June 1996 and contains 13 pool tables, a jukebox, foosball tables, dart boards, and big-screen TVs. It’s a popular destination for both the happy hour crowd and late-night imbibers.
