Description: From a distance, you see the sign and think it says Pikes Peak. Then you get closer and realize somebody had an attack of cleverness. It says Pikes Perk. It’s frequently voted best local coffee roaster—and most locals like it better than the big coffee chains (you know who we mean). They offer fine air-roasted, fair-trade, and organic coffees from Mexico, Kenya, Sumatra, Guatemala, Peru, and Costa Rica. They also do decaf and flavored coffees, plus terrific Chai and teas. If you fly in or out of Colorado Springs, you also can get their brew at the Colorado Springs Airport; and if you attend concerts or sporting events at the Colorado Springs World Arena or the US Air Force Academy, you’ll find them on-site there, too.
