Description: Reservations are a good idea at this lovely, secluded bed-and-breakfast set on 27 acres right along the Big Thompson River. Guests like it so much they return year after year, often booking a year in advance. For a stay during the high season, reservations need to be made about 15 weeks in advance. During the rest of the year it’s not nearly as busy. Each of the rooms is custom-decorated either with lovely antiques or whimsical handmade furniture. One room has the beautiful 200-plus-year-old bed of the owner’s grandmother; another has a delightful bed made of gracefully arching willow twigs complete with (decorative) nesting birds. There’s a river stone–faced Jacuzzi in one room and fireplaces in most rooms. The list of amenities goes on and on at this lovely old home. Gourmet breakfast comes with the price of the room. This is a no-smoking inn.
