Description: Joseph Kustra worked at world-famous Peter Lugar’s in Brooklyn before opening this restaurant in Bridgeport, and you can immediately see the influence in its USDA prime dry-aged beef. The cuts are expensive but huge, with the smallest at 20 ounces. If you’re there with a group, get the 88-ounce behemoth and divide it, unless you have a very, very big appetite. I did see someone finish (barely) the 44-ounce himself, but the key here is the taste of these dry-aged, hand-selected pieces of beef, so try to enjoy every bite. The extra-thick bacon appetizer and creamed spinach are classic keepers from Lugar’s as well, and are just as good here. Note that parking can be a challenge here—you should probably park in the garage further east on Fairfield Avenue and walk 2 blocks to get here rather than try to squeeze into Joseph’s lot.
