Description: Bobby Q’s seems like a typical pub, with a huge selection of Bourbons and draft beers, family nights, and live music. Even their menu looks like something from a chain restaurant. But the food is a few steps above, at least, and you can find little gems among the cheese nachos and (excellent) wings. First of all, the barbecue is real pit-smoked stuff, with a sauce that has won awards against the best in Kansas City (available in bottled form), and they have genuine additions like sweet and smoky pit beans, succotash, and burnt ends. Beer-can chicken, fish tacos, and a huge selection of burgers mean that even if you don’t like barbecue (?), you’ll enjoy a meal at Bobby Q’s. This is not the sort of place you might expect to find in chic Westport, or maybe you just have the wrong idea about the people there. In the summer, go to the rooftop deck where the live music is, and maybe you’ll even dance the night away.
