Description: It’s difficult to know which way to head when you’re here, the sushi bar or the hibachi grill. Both are outstanding. The grill is the place to be gregarious, and the sushi bar is the place to be quiet and alone, but, of course, your taste buds might be crying for the opposite. Sakura has serious longevity in this here-today-gone-tomorrow area, having been around since the 1980s. That means it has some quality going for it, especially at Westport prices (try the lunchtime half price). Sakura fills up consistently on the weekends, so make reservations if you can, especially if you want the hibachi. Try any of the rolls and the steak or shrimp hibachi, or just pretty much have anything. This is some delicious Japanese food, some of the best in the state, and don’t forget to tip the sushi chef if he does a good job with your rolls or sashimi.
