Description: Lake Seminole Park sits in the middle of Pinellas County on the east side of a good-sized lake that spills into Boca Ciega Bay—the same bay that the first Spanish explorer, Pánfilo de Narváez, may have pulled into when he first landed here. In addition to boat ramps, fishing, water skiing, and other water sports on the lake itself, the park has several smaller ponds in which people catch bass and bluegill. Because of its proximity to the bayou, the spillway areas and some of the little creeks are popular spots to catch blue crabs. You’ll find a paved walking/skating/biking trail, softball fields and volleyball areas, a playground area, and a hill that kids love to roll down. Lake Seminole Park is a popular spot for weddings and, because it is centrally located, for gatherings of all kinds.
