Description: Sitting atop the Tampa Airport Marriott Hotel, The View at CK’s slowly revolves a full 360 degrees, presenting diners with an unparalleled view of the Tampa Bay area. Open for dinner only, guests can watch the sun fade and the lights come on as they linger over their meal. Prepared under the direction of Chef Debra Desaulniers, each item is presented with an eye toward both the palate and the palette. A full sushi menu includes nigiri, makimono, and itamae selections accompanied by Japanese beer or sake. The dinner menu features a signature all-jumbo lump crab cake appetizer with snow pea pods and drizzled with a key lime mustard sauce, and such creations as Macadamia Grouper served with shrimp, a mango relish piña colada sauce and grilled asparagus, and a Thai Basil Fried Lobster Tail with Asian vegetable slaw and buttermilk mashed potatoes. Their certified Black Angus steaks are specially seasoned, then topped with the View’s signature butter and caramelized cipollini onions. There’s a lovely dessert selection, as well. Sweet. The View at CK’s is open Tuesday through Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m. They are closed Sunday and Monday. On special holidays (see their Events calendar) the View at CK’s offers a buffet brunch from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and has a children’s buffet brunch menu. The View at CK’s also offers such services as roses on the table, pre-selected wine from their extensive list, and other amenities that can be arranged when making dinner reservations. Parking in the Marriott Hotel parking area (go past the long-term and short-term parking) will be validated by the restaurant.
