Description: This is an international festival of photography and digital imagery, which promoters refer to as “Where creativity and technology fuse.” The photographs here are traditional and boundary-pushing at the same time because they rely on the same light, shadows, shade, and subjects used by photographers for 150 years, while incorporating new visual tricks and thinking into the process. The images are striking, and you find yourself staring at them, eventually moving on to another piece, and then coming back to the first one. The digital images are incredible journeys through colors, angles, and textures, and the artist’s own mind. There are portfolio reviews by experts, seminars and panel discussions, hands-on computer labs, multimedia presentations, book signings and gallery walks. And Fuse and Schmooze parties nightly.
