Description: DeVry/Atlanta, established in 1969, now calls its main home in Atlanta on the square in Decatur, although it does have four other campuses. Devry focuses on what it calls “career education” and most of its students tend to be above what is considered traditional college age. The average age of students is 28; 20 percent receive military benefits. The institute confers bachelor’s degrees in accounting, business administration, computer information systems, electronics engineering technology, technical management, and telecommunications management, and an associate’s degree in applied science in electronics. DeVry’s students are eligible for the state’s Tuition Equalization Grant and HOPE scholarship program. The school boasts a student-to-computer ratio of 6 to 1 and reports that more than 97 percent of graduates who actively pursue employment find jobs in their chosen field within six months of graduation. The Keller School of Management offers MBAs in such areas as business administration, accounting and finance, project management, human resources, public administration, and technology management.
