Description: As a Level II trauma center, North Fulton Regional provides seven-day, 24-hour, in-house anesthesia and operating room coverage. Since 1983 the 202-bed hospital has offered general acute care to the rapidly growing areas north of metro Atlanta, including Roswell, Alpharetta, and Cumming. Nearly 1,000 employees and a medical staff of some 400 physicians provide support to patients in this full-service medical/surgical community hospital owned by Tenet Healthcare Corp. Treatment for major illnesses, such as cancer and heart problems, is part of North Fulton’s programs. The hospital’s women’s health center delivers more than 1,100 babies annually, and a neonatal intensive care unit tends to the needs of infants born preterm. The hospital also provides care in the areas of nuclear medicine, orthopedic services, diagnostic radiology, and renal dialysis. Individualized treatment in the Renaissance Rehabilitation Center focuses on progressive care that enables patients to return to normal life quickly. North Fulton offers special sports medicine programs, a pain control center, and a sleep disorder center. North Fulton provides outpatient surgery procedures in addition to a fully staffed emergency room. The hospital’s ongoing series of health education programs is designed to raise the level of health awareness in the community. These are augmented by periodic screening programs and support groups.
