Description: The public is welcome at Stone Mountain Park’s beautiful 36-hole course. Eighteen holes of the course were designed by expert Robert Trent Jones; the other 18, by John La Foy. Nine holes lie beside the park’s lake. There’s a pro shop on the premises, with lessons and rental clubs available. The course also features a driving range, practice area, and two large putting greens. Weekends and holidays require about a week’s advance reservation. Otherwise, it’s first-come, first-served. You’ll pay a $10 fee for each car entering the park. Stone Mountain’s course is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to dark. Eighteen holes cost $34 on weekdays, $48 on the weekends. Prices include a mandatory cart fee. Stone Mountain Golf Course also offers a five-weekend golf school. This includes five rounds of nine holes, one golf lesson per week, and unlimited range balls during the five weeks of the school.
