Description: Atlanta Motor Speedway is an 870-acre racing complex 30 miles south of Downtown Atlanta in Hampton, Georgia; it features a 1.522-mile oval and a 2.5-mile road course. The short course is the world’s fastest true oval track. The track hosts NASCAR Kolbalt Tools (formerly NEXTEL) Race in March and November as well as Sprint Cup series races and an Indy Racing League event with Indianapolis 500–type cars.
