Description: The Center for Puppetry Arts hosts a family series of performances presenting original adaptations of classic stories and new works in a variety of puppetry styles. These performances run September through May, Tuesday through Saturday; call or check the Web site for hours. The center also holds Create-A-Puppet workshops for children ages 4 and older; adults are welcome to tag along. Puppet designs are based on themes of the shows being presented in the theater. You can also buy individual tickets for a workshop or museum admission. To see what goes on backstage, ask for a behind-the-scenes tour: $7 for adults; $6 for children, students, and seniors; $5 with another activity.
