Description: This kids’ arts center puts on about 12 children’s plays during the year that feature local child actors in favorites such as The Sound of Music, Alice in Wonderland, and Cinderella. At Halloween the playhouse hosts The House of Little Horrors, a stage show that includes an audience walk through a haunted house. Kids as young as 3 are welcome to join in the harmless fun and have their faces painted or work on spooky arts and crafts projects. Tickets for all shows are $10. Children younger than 3 are free with a paid adult; grandparents are $6 with a paid child. Art and drama classes are offered after school from 4 to 7 p.m. After-school pickup is available. A one-time registration fee is $45, and the monthly cost for once-a-week classes is $105. The playhouse also holds an art and drama summer day camp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for children younger than 12. Prices are $160 for one week.
