Description: Savannah Magazine is owned by Morris Communications, which also owns the city’s daily paper, but it has its own staff. This slick city magazine, which targets upper-middle-class and professional residents, is published eight times a year (every two months starting with January plus two other editions focusing exclusively on local interior design). The magazine was launched in the early 1990s, which means it has been around long enough to get all those tiresome stories about the 10 most eligible bachelors out of its system. Content is all local and ranges from pithy pieces such as the best lawyers in town (can’t you imagine what those who were left out had to say?) to soft decorating features. It also covers the city’s charity festivals and other annual events—sort of like the old-time society pages with better production values—and carries a regular listing of city events of all types.
