Description: Located on busy Broughton Street, this is the alternative to down home Southern comfort food. A trendy, high-end bistro and wine bar, Broughton and Bull is fast becoming the talk of Savannah’s elite. The decor is contemporary and the atmosphere, relaxing and low-key, while the food is creatively comprised of Southern basics that are artfully presented. For an appetizer, savor the fried green tomatoes and crab salad, oh, so delicious! The resraurant offers lunch and dinner. Lunch entrees range from a variety of fresh seafood sandwiches and salads. For dinner, try the seared scallops, jumbo crab cake, and crab-stuffed Carolina trout. Desserts are dazzling! There is an extensive wine list and reservations for dinner are highly recommended. Hours are (lunch) Tues through Sat, 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; dinner, Mon through Thurs, 5 to 10 p.m.; Fri and Sat, 5:30 to 11:30 p.m.; Sun 5 to 9:30 p.m. A complimentary glass from a select group of house wines is served during early dining hours, 4 to 6 p.m. weekdays and several entrees are discounted.
