Description: The setting is deceptive: The redbrick exterior and a dim dining room with long, dark wood bar packed with a younger crowd make this look like a basic drinking den, but it’s actually much more than your typical bar and grill. The extensive menu features both adventurous choices and all-American favorites. Small plates like pork dumplings and sesame crusted ahi tuna with ginger and wasabi are respectable Asian options, while the onion rings with chipotle sauce and garlic and Parmesan fries give a new twist to some old standbys. The several burgers on the menu are all good bets, from the southwest burger topped with Pepper Jack and avocado salsa, to the more standard one with bacon, grilled onions, and cheddar. Lots of other sandwiches on the menu, too, like a Cuban with roasted pork, ham and Swiss cheese, or a steak sandwich with caramelized onions, arugula, and aioli. Entrees are an eclectic selection of cuisines, bringing pan-fried chicken, blackened catfish tacos, and Cajun pasta with andouille sausage all under the same roof.
