Description: Yes, this Mag Mile restaurant is just steps from one of the city’s busiest shopping districts, but Bistro 110 is much more than just a convenience. Headed up by French-born chef Dominique Tougne, who once worked with renowned chef Joël Robuchon (he has more than 25 Michelin stars for his restaurants around the world), this charming spot has been serving up traditional French fare, such as escargots en croute, artichoke baked with brie, steak frites, and cassoulet, for 20 years. The wood-burning oven gets put to good use for dishes like wood-roasted organic salmon and the warm roasted whole cloves of garlic that arrive at every table to be eaten with crusty French bread. Head to the lounge area for a more casual setting, lighter meals, and an excellent selection of craft beers from Chicago-based company Goose Island. You can get back to the shops now, or just kick back with another glass and enjoy the pleasant change of pace. A gluten-free menu is available on request.
