Description: What this tiny Lincoln Park counter-service restaurant lacks in decor, it more than makes up for in tasty food. If the name doesn’t clue you in, perhaps the roll of paper towels on each of the communal tables will. Crisp specializes in delicious, Korean-inspired fried chicken (incidentally, voted the best fried chicken in America by Travel + Leisure, if you doubt it) and isn’t for those who are afraid to get their hands dirty. There are three sauces to choose from and the Funke chicken is available in whole or half orders as well as wings only. The Seoul Sassy, from a family recipe, has a subtle sweetness to it in its ginger, soy, and garlic blend, while the barbecue sauce is deliciously spicy and sweet. You’ll also find other Korean-inspired fare to try, such as an adaptation of the classic bi bim bop (Buddha bowls) and burritos filled with rice and beef bulgogi.
