Description: First the good news: The newest restaurant from award-winning chef Grant Achatz—whose restaurant Alinea is often touted as the best in the US—and his very talented staff are totally worth all the hype. The bad news? It’s kind of a tricky matter to get in the doors to try it. Asking diners to use a never-before-used reservations system via all-inclusive tickets sold online, the waiting list already far exceeds the demand. But if you’re feeling lucky, head over to the West Town restaurant for one of the few unreserved tables. (Another option is to head next door to Aviary, Achatz’s ultimate in creative cocktail lounges.) Just as innovative as the reservation system is the menu, which features a different time period and country every few months. Opening menu featured Paris 1906 and “next” is anybody’s guess.
