Address: 875 N. Michigan Ave.

Description: You’re above it all when you zoom up to the 94th floor of the John Hancock building. To help guide your gaze around the spectacular, 360-degree views (you can see up to 80 miles and four states), just plug into the free handheld multimedia Sky Tour, narrated by former Friends star and founder of local Lookingglass Theatre David Schwimmer (it comes in seven languages and a kids’ version too). Feel the breeze 1,000 feet up when you step across the screened-in walkway called the SkyWalk; take advantage of the sky-high concierge; and settle in for more stunning views while enjoying fancy coffees, Italian light bites, and beer, wine, and cocktails at the Lavazza Espression Cafe. General admission $15; ages 3 to 11 $10; under 3 free; a fast-pass is available for an additional fee; the Sun & Stars ticket (an additional $4) allows you entrance during the day and then again at night for a different look. Open daily 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. (last admission is 10:30 p.m.).
