Description: In 1988 Baltimore’s innkeeping veterans, Joanne and Andrew Mazurek, opened Ann Street B&B in the house where Andrew had grown up. Restored to an earlier era when Andrew’s ancestors lived there, the inn features double poster beds, original hardwood floors, and a country colonial charm. Each room has a private bathroom and two have a fireplace. The inn also features central air-conditioning. Twelve fireplaces help to keep the place warm in the winter as guests talk, snack, visit, and read. Another favorite feature of the house is the private garden, which from spring to fall is the ideal location to relax, away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Located in the heart of Fell’s Point, there’s no limit to the dining, dancing, and imbibing possibilities near the inn. The Mazureks are active participants in the Fell’s Point business community, offering guests insights into special-interest restaurants and stores in the area. According to Joanne Mazurek, their goal is to provide guests “not a real formal place to relax for a while.”
