Description: Kirbyville School, located 2 miles east of Branson, encompasses grades kindergarten through eight. A new middle school is 1.5 miles east. Students grades 9 through 12 may elect to attend high school in Branson or Hollister. Growth has been so great that there are plans to add a high school. Grades K through five occupy the existing school building. A preschool program was added in 1999. In spite of the student increase as a result of the Branson boom, the school has an impressive student-teacher ratio of 12 to 1. Total enrollment is 335. More than 90 percent of district patrons attend parent-teacher conferences. The assessed valuation is $34 million The district is classified as accredited, the highest classification given by the Missouri State Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
