And thanks to an expansive happy hour (three to seven every weekday), it’s definitely the spot to commiserate or celebrate with friends after work. If you’re lucky you’ll be tapping your table to your favorite tunes; 12B hosts live music on Sat. Check the schedule online. Brunch is a steal here (especially for a hotel dining room); just under $15 for the buffet and menu choices. As a matter of fact, overall the prices here are remarkable. Ten bucks will get you the day’s soup plus two sliders—mini burgers. We happen to favor the veggie version. Giant salads or decadent ravioli may be more to your liking. Steaks on the dinner menu tend to climb past the $30 range, but savvy diners know to order a burger for just 10 bucks, or share several appetizers with friends. The calamari may be the best in town.
