Description: The Springfield/Branson National is a 40- to 50-minute drive from downtown Branson. Servicing 65 flights each day, the airport is owned by the city of Springfield and features one-stop service to 360 domestic and 16 international cities. The new, $117 million, 275,000-square-foot terminal features modern architecture which is a kind of “ode to the Ozarks” and has 10 gates (expandable to 60), a full-service travel agency, complete airline ticketing facilities, sky cap service, automated baggage handling, an on-site restaurant, a chapel, a gift shop, a lounge, and a visitor information center.Four carriers provide flights to major cities. American Eagle, (800) 433-7300, flies to Dallas–Fort Worth, St. Louis, and Chicago. Northwest (www.nwa.com) provides service to Memphis and Minneapolis. Delta, recently merged with Northwest, (www.delta.com) has connections with several Midwest cities. Allegiant (www.allegiantair.com) flies to points on the east and west coasts. The airport also offers hangar and tie-down space for private aircraft and twenty-four-hour fueling. Tie-down fees for single-engine planes are $3 a day or $30 per month. Twin-engine rates are $4 a day and $40 per month. Small jet rates are $5 a day and $60 per month.The airport provides a full range of aircraft repair and maintenance services along with aircraft sales, flight school, and air taxi and charter services of all types, including jet. Five rental car companies are located in the main terminal of the airport next to the baggage claim area. They are: Alamo, (417) 865-5311; Avis, (417) 865-6226; Budget, (417) 831-2662; Hertz, (417) 865-1681; and National, (417) 865-5311. A few hundred yards from the main terminal are Enterprise, (417) 866-0300, and Thrifty, (417) 866-8777. Both offer shuttle service to and from the terminal. There are 209 short-term parking spaces and 724 spaces in the long-term lot at the airport. All parking is open air. Short-term parking is $10 per day. Long-term parking is $7 a day, $35 a week.
