Description: This downtown sports-bar is owned by former Cardinal pitcher and current team broadcaster Al Hrabosky. Known as “the Mad Hungarian” during his playing days, Hrabosky is a local favorite among baseball fans, and his hangout is a popular pre- and postgame destination. Oversize doors remain open most of the time, allowing for easy access between the indoor bar and to-go food kitchen and the spacious outdoor mingling and seating areas. The menu features burgers and sandwiches like the Big Hrabosky (beef brisket, grilled onions, and mushrooms on toasted bread), the Red Burd (a char-grilled chicken sandwich), and the Mad Hungarian Burger (a half-pound burger on a toasted Kaiser roll), along with snacks and salads. Grab a drink, order some grub, and secure a spot inside or out for some casual socializing or some serious baseball talk with the man himself. Al can often be found chatting with the masses after the game.
