Description: Average players flock to this course, located in rural China Grove, about 40 minutes northeast of Charlotte. The course circumnavigates Lake Wright, the municipal water supply for the nearby town of Landis. The reason for Warrior’s popularity is that , despite its ferocious name, the course is geared to average golfers with everyday skills. It is not overly long, the fairways are fairly wide, and the greens are reasonably flat. Those same bent grass greens are known for their great condition, even in the heat of summer. Lined with thick groves of hardwoods and only a few homes, the course layout is refreshing. Holes No. 7, 16, and 17 are especially stunning.
