Description: Bill Horn opened his dream restaurant in June 1994 in a house originally built in Guthrie in 1896 and moved to its present location. Twelve Oaks offers diners a fine dining experience with an understated Gone with the Wind theme. Sitting atop one of Oklahoma County’s tallest hills, the restaurant allows guests to gaze down upon cattle and oil wells. Items on the menu include steaks, lamb chops, quail, salmon, shrimp, and lobster. There is a full bar. Don’t pass up the house dessert called I’ll Think About It Tomorrow. It is a lightly toasted slice of pound cake topped with vanilla ice cream, warm praline sauce, roasted pecans, whipped cream, and a cherry.Reservations are required here. Valet parking is available on Fri and Sat nights. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Hours are Mon through Sat from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Because this restaurant is out in the country, you may want to call for directions and, of course, reserve a table.
