Description: Situated on a wooded plateau above the Susquehanna River, this 224-acre park features 380-foot-­high cliffs that offer panoramic views. Most dramatic is the view from Hawk Point Overlook, from where you can see numerous islands, including Mt. Johnson Island (to the left of the overlook), the world’s first bald eagle sanctuary. There’s an optical viewer for eagle-, hawk-, osprey-, and vulture-­spotting.
