Address: 24 W. Temple Ave.

Description: This little taste of acoustic heaven is hidden away in a tiny town in Bucks County. The decor of its bar and seating area are ornate, but the feeling is far from ostentatious. Look for a truly eclectic mix of musicians from classic rockers to up-and-comers. If I lived there, I would go every week. (The “1894” comes from a date found on a cornerstone from the days when the building was a livery stable.) Make it an entire evening and have a before-the-show dinner or after-the-show drink next door at the historic Washington House Restaurant (136 N. Main St.; 215-257-3000; washingtonhouse.net; $$).
