Getting to the Shaw House requires a jog through town since it’s set off the beaten paths of Georgetown, yet it’s within walking distance of its historic district, shops, and restaurants.Three spacious rooms can be rented here, all furnished in antiques and offering a king- or queen-size Rice bed. Bicycles, games, and an extensive library are extended to guests. Nightly turndown and chocolates are mainstay luxuries at the Shaw House.A Southern home-cooked breakfast that includes fresh baked bread and pots of rich coffee is served each morning. Many guests of Shaw House have written that Mary is the ultimate hostess and personification of Southern hospitality.Smoking is permitted on the outside porches.
