Description: In operation since 1999, Shallow Minded says more about the type of fishing than the state of mind of Capt. Mark Dickerson. A lifelong resident of North Myrtle Beach, Dickerson’s inshore excursions provide a unique light-tackle experience and a side of the Grand Strand few get to see. The boats fish the backcountry and tidal creeks around Little River Inlet in some of the most beautiful scenery you’ll come across.It’s also the sort of fishing that works for those who may not be sure if their stomachs can stand the large open waters. You won’t get the big game fish here, but you do get decent-size flounder, redfish, sea trout, Spanish mackerel, striped bass, and bluefish. The charters are small, for one to four people only. A half day is $350 for one to three anglers, and a full day is $550. One additional person can be added for $100. Sight casting for redfish in the winter runs about $225 for two anglers for a half day.
