Description: In November 2005, St. Andrew was named a Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education. This school is supported by tuition and parish subsidies. Class sizes range from 25 to 30 students, and faculty positions total approximately 14. The program is enhanced by an active PTO and Mother’s Club. Consequently, parent volunteers contribute significantly to the overall quality of their children’s educational experience. Christian education at St. Andrew is designed to educate the child as a whole—intellectually, morally, physically, emotionally, and socially. Students enjoy a high level of interaction with teachers and classmates. St. Andrew strives to develop leadership through classroom activities, school worship, liturgies, and extracurricular activities. The educational program is designed to foster academic excellence, emphasizing basic skills as a strong foundation. And the program’s success is evident in standardized test results and in the number of students admitted to advanced-placement high-school programs. Classes are offered from kindergarten (five-year-olds) through 8th grade, and after-school care is available for students.
