Description: Since the 1940s, the term “Dagwood” has referred to a multi-decker sandwich stuffed with anything and everything. That pretty much describes the fare here. It takes two big hands to handle the monstrous subs at Dagwood’s. There’s not a lot of ambience—Dagwood’s is a frat hangout at its best—but with sandwiches and prices like these, who cares? Baskets of homemade bread (baked fresh daily) and an authentic deli case greet you at the door—reminiscent of a New York delicatessen. Choose from a variety of hot and cold sandwiches that showcase a mile-high stack of meats and cheeses. You can feast on burgers and Philly cheese steaks, too. At lunchtime local business folk frequent the place, so it’s gotta be good. Dagwoods is open for lunch and dinner. (Suggestion: Come for lunch and eat the other half of your sub for dinner.)
