Greg Norman’S Australian Grille - Restaurants - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

City: Myrtle Beach, SC

Telephone: (843) 361-0000

Description: This exceedingly popular restaurant’s namesake is the same Greg “the Shark” Norman of golfing fame who designed the Norman Course, which you can view from your table at his Australian Grille. The flavors and seafood-heavy selection of the Australian Grille perfectly complement a stay on the Carolina coast, and the lively, aboriginal decor of the Grille goes well with our own Lowcountry stylings. The menu is amazing: pan-fried lobster dumplings, Tasmanian sea mussels, miso and cane sugar–marinated sea bass, habanero-rubbed tenderloin, yellowfin tuna, and all sorts of Australian-inspired nightly specials. Tables are hard to get, and reservations are recommended. The Shark Pub is just as spacious and elegant as the dining rooms and includes a few TVs for sporting events (hmm, wonder which ones?). It has its own satisfying menu: fried calamari tossed in a sweet-and-sour chili glaze, Queensland cut fries, and famous pizza baked in an authentic wood-burning oven.
