Description: The mountain art of storytelling gets into high gear with a weekend of fun taking place in early June at several different Pigeon Forge music theaters. Specific venues for this event, sponsored in part by the National Storytelling Network, change from year to year. Regardless of which events or sites you choose, get ready to be mesmerized by noted local storytellers from the Smoky Mountains and the rest of the nation. The event includes storytelling concerts and workshop, the National youth Storytelling Showcase (for storytellers ages 17 and younger), and an evening of family-friendly ghost stories called Haunts ’n’ Haints.Day passes to most of the festival events are $10 (free for ages 17 and younger), while weekend passes are $25. Haunts ’n’ Haints Tales is an additional $5 per person. (This festival formerly took place in February but has recently been moved to June.)
