Description: This locally owned midtown brewpub is a favorite restaurant and watering hole and also brews its own award-winning beers. The menu includes handmade pizzas baked in a wood-burning oven, artichoke and spinach dip, and wood-oven shrimp appetizer, as well as more substantial fare, including its smoked double-cut pork chop and black bean and goat cheese tamale. Its Sunday brunch features Memphis chanteuse Joyce Cobb. You can order a handmade beer brewed on the premises, but if you aren’t a beer drinker, there’s a wine list and full bar. Boscos always has a crowd, whether it’s happy hour, people waiting for a table, late-night partyers, or folks watching a game. The beer menu includes Midtown Brown, an English-style nut-brown ale, Boscos classics such as Flaming Stone and London’s Porter, and seasonal beers. If you’re planning a party, Boscos also sells kegs of all their beers. Boscos also has a very popular jazz brunch. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner every day, and the bar stays open until 2:00 or 3:00 a.m. Boscos’s new outdoor deck is popular during good weather, and its bar is popular all the time. Reservations recommended.
