Jarrett’S - Restaurants - Memphis, Tennessee

City: Memphis, TN
Category: Restaurants
Telephone: (901) 763-2264
Address: 5689 Quince Road

Description: Don’t let the modesty of its location in an East Memphis shopping center fool you. This warm and lively bistro is where Memphis-born chef Richard Farmer works wonders in the kitchen. Readers of Memphis magazine voted Jarrett’s (named for the Farmers’ son) the most underrated restaurant in town, while voting Farmer, who has cooked at the James Beard House in New York, as one of the city’s best chefs. Jarrett’s serves a creative American regional menu featuring mushroom-and-cheese strudel, smoked-trout ravioli with Arkansas caviar, horseradish-encrusted grouper, and pecan barbecue rack of lamb. Lots of pride is taken in the wine list, which features California and French vintages. Open for dinner Monday through Saturday. Look for the restaurant at Yorkshire shopping center on Quince, just a few blocks west of Ridgeway.
