Description: Walking into Il Posto is like walking into an Italian villa. Bunches of red and green grapes hang idyllically out of ornate vases. Vines drape across open surfaces and stacks of old boxes line up against the Venetian plaster walls. On one side of the restaurant, Corinthian columns hold up a large wine wall with rows upon rows of Italian reds, and the dining area itself is spacious and airy, with plenty of tables dotted around but enough space between them to allow for a private eating experience.The menu at Il Posto includes all of the traditional Italian favorites, such as spaghetti, lasagna, and ravioli, and they offer a number of unique specialties here, such as portobello mushroom ravioli, farfalle primavera (bowtie pasta with mixed vegetables in a light cream sauce), and veal marsala. They also offer quite a few chicken and pork dishes, with a smattering of veal and steak and one lone but tasty smoked duck offering. Their decent wine list includes plenty of Italian bottles, while the dessert menu consists mainly of those typically found on Italian-American menus: tiramisu, spumone, and chocolate cannoli. Il Posto is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
