Description: This massive family restaurant has a gigantic menu with plenty of offerings and serves up just about every type of Mexican and Tex-Mex dish that you can think of. Almost all of the food at Carlos & Mickey’s (as it is generally known locally) is good, though very few items on the menu are life-changing. This is the type of restaurant that is great to visit with the whole family or with a big group, as most everyone can usually find something to their tastes on the huge 70-plus item menu. So, whether you love the basic deliciousness of a cheese enchilada or yearn for something a bit more authentically south-of-the-border, such as Tacos al Pastor, stewed pork soft tacos garnished with green onion and pineapple, you’ll probably be able to order it here.Carlos & Mickey’s is a family-run establishment that has been in business for several decades and enjoys a solid reputation among El Paso locals. They are well-known for hosting live Mexican and jazz music in the evenings between Thursday and Saturday, or conversely, you are likely to run into mariachi music here quite often.
