Description: Breakfast, brunch, dinner, lunch: Tiny Boxwood’s does it all—and does it all so well. Located at the Thompson & Hanson Nursery, this chic restaurant has a rustic French feel made even better by the large windows that make you feel a little like you’re eating amid the flowers and plants just outside. The short dinner menu consists of French-­inspired salads, fish and meat dishes (think red fish with grits), and outstanding eclectic pizzas made in a wood-­burning oven. Breakfast options include a variety of homemade pastries and egg dishes. The weekend brunch includes must-­try migas, a morning meat and cheese board, quiche, and egg-­topped pizzas. Lunch includes a variety of salads and sandwiches, including a delicious grilled gouda and pesto sandwich. Tiny Boxwood’s serves some of the city’s best desserts—including heavenly chocolate chip cookies—so save room. Or, just stop in for dessert and drinks at the bar. This popular spot doesn’t take reservations, and there’s usually a line out the door for brunch and lunch on the weekends after 10 or 10:30 a.m. Closed for dinner on Sunday and all day Monday. A second location, Tiny’s No. 5, recently opened in West University.
