Filoli Center

The Filoli Center is part of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The Filoli has a couple of country estates that date to the 20th century. The entire 654 acre spread is open to the public. There is a 36,000 square foot Georgian county house. They also have a 16 acre English Renaissance Garden. Filoli Center is located in Woodside, California. Tours of the house and garden are offered in February through October. The center is also available for rent based on business and wedding events. Reservations are required.

The center hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10am to 3:30pm. The last admission is at 2:30pm to give plenty of time for the tour, which takes roughly an hour. On Sunday the tours are from 11am to 3:30pm. Filoli is not open on Mondays or Federal holidays. Admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, and $5 for children and students. Children under 4 are free. Besides the 15 minute video and guided tours of the house and gardens there are self guided options and nature trails. Nature hikes are available from 10am to 12pm. There are roughly seven miles of trails, all interlinked with each other to make it an educating and interesting tour of the grounds.
