Leonesse Cellars

Midway between Palm Springs and Oceanside, Leoness Cellars resides on a 20-acre hillside in Temecula wine country and offers wine tastings, tours, and beautiful surroundings.

Leonesse, meaning "village of dreams," describes the guiding vision of the owners, Mike Renner and Gary Winder. Together they have over fifty years' experience that facilitate the production of high quality wines, including Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet, Riesling, Port, and other specialty wines. Their winery was founded in 2003 and produces 10,000 cases per year.

The Winery offers wine tasting in their tasting room and tours of the grounds among the rolling hills of the vineyard. The tasting room, perched high enough to afford magnificent views of the valley, is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Leonesse Cellars also hosts weddings and other special events. Members of the wine club have access to the lower cellar room where there are wine barrels stacked floor to ceiling. There is also a restaurant on site.

Leonesse Cellars, at 38311 DePortola Rd, Temecula, CA, is located one hour and fifteen minutes by car north of San Diego International Airport. Visitors might also enjoy nearby several other wineries, Southern California Hot Air Balloon Tours, Peltzer Farms, Glenoak Hills Park, and Temecula Horseback Tours.
